THIS WAS TAKEN IN OUR FRONT YARD YESTERDAY. THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS ARE IN BLOOM AND THE BEES ARE DOING THEIR PART, SO THE REST OF USE GET SOMETHING TO EAT LATER IN THE YEAR. THE OREGON COAST IS IN BLOOM WHILE THE EAST COASTERS DIG OUT FROM THE BLIZZARD OF 2015.

we had a large herd of elk here for a visit. these are the three bulls.

i saw an explanation of painting with light and decided to try it myself. this was  taken at about midnight. i had the shutter open for 18 seconds and illuminated the trees and house with a large flash light. oh and in the sky that is not the northern lights, that is me exhaling in the cold night air.

shot this on my way home from camera club. the bottom left of the image is cape foulweather and this is looking to the south. the agate beach light house shimmers light across the water and to the right is a fishing vessel probably pulling crab traps.

These were taken on the Siletz Bay documenting the height of the King on Feb 18th at the peak of the high tide.
